Skills & Biography

Elisabeth Ryan has worked in the food and drinks industry for 15 years, specialising in the artisan food sector, she is well known and recognised for her expertise and organisational and planning skills. Her passion lies in building the bridge between food producers and their customers.

Elisabeth is experienced in sales, marketing, project and event management as well as logistical planning and strategic planning and cost analysis.

Her expertise in business and the food and drinks industry was gained through initially through hospitality management including several years in wine and speciality food retail, restaurants, bar and off trade management and 10 years in the food wholesaling, retailing, manufacturing and product development with Sheridans Cheesemongers.

She ran a high profile campaign which through measured lobbying and promotion within the industry and media, succeeded in preventing the government from banning raw milk as a foodstuff in Ireland.

    In recent times, Elisabeth has honed her on the ground marketing skills by involvement in website and social media development and has built a number of attractive and simple to update websites for clients from a variety of backgrounds.

Four years of study from the basic, intermediate and higher certificates, with a final course of study leading to the award of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Diploma. Winner of the diploma class tasting Cup in 2005.



Bachelor of Arts – Honours Degree in Pure English, minoring in Linguistics from University College Dublin.
